Dear society members and milk producers,
I have got immense pleasure while addressing all of you as the chairman of the Gokul, which has success story of 61 years in dairy cooperative. Gokul has created many benchmarks and become landmark for many other dairy units. It is because of continued efforts of our societies, milk producers and my team members which made Gokul as a landmark in dairy vertical. In March 1963, The Gokul Dairy started its operations with just 700 liters per day milk procurement and now crossed 15 lakh liters procurement. Now we have planned collection of 20 lakh liters milk. I am sure with joint efforts all Gokul family members we will achieve the landmark. Gokul’s turnover for year 2022-23 has reached to Rs.3429 crores. Gokul is putting all its efforts to improve life of around five lakh milk producers in and around Kolhapur district. Gokul has achieved its growth by keeping good quality of milk and milk products in the market and made the Gokul brand as a leader in highly competitive market. Millions of our consumers trust our quality since last 61 years. We take utmost care to deliver good quality of milk and milk products to our consumers and this begins from doorstep of our milk producer, up to the consumer. Our dairy plant runs in healthy environment which is fully automated.
Our schemes like clean milk production, silage bags, open shed, calf rearing, education through micro training centers, fodder development, milk enhancement and quality improvement program, testing milk at village level society, implementation of BMC's and veterinary services at door steps round the clock have played important role in maintaining the quality of the milk. As a leading organization in the cooperative milk sector, Gokul fulfills all its social obligations too. Gokul directly plays an important role in uplifting the women living standard, as the milk business mainly provides employment to the rural women. Gokul has always fulfilled its responsibility towards the orphan, the handicapped, the bed ridden and the geriatric people. During occasions of every natural calamity, Gokul played an important role in helping affected peoples. Gokul is one of the rare organizations who supports Wrestling sports as its tribute to our great social leader Chhatrapati Shri Shahu Maharaj.
