The Kolhapur Zilla Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh Ltd (Gokul Milk Union) renders extension services, viz., breeding, feeding, management & also health care of the cows & buffaloes. These services are helpful for enhancing productivity & quality of the milk. Gokul Milk Union provides services for animal health through 30 veterinary centers, 46 mobile veterinary clinics with a team of 63 qualified & experienced veterinarians. These services are available for round the clock at the farmers door step.

To get perfect diagnosis of various diseases in milk producers’ animals and to give proper treatment for respective disease, during September 2013, our Union has started ‘Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory’ at Tarabai Park campus. Through this laboratory we investigate Blood Chemistry (Protein, Calcium & Phosphorus etc.), Blood Analysis (DLC, Hemoglobin, Blood Protozoa etc.) and also diseases like Mastitis (sensitivity test), Brucellosis, Ketosis, Jaundice, Urine stone, Worm load, Skin diseases etc. in animals.
X-ray facility is operational at our Gadhinglaj Milk Chilling Center to diagnose metallic foreign bodies like nails, pins, etc. in internal organs of animal, to perform surgical operation like exploratory Ruminotomy & Herneorapphy.
